Basic Unit

The Basic Unit has no built in controls for your camcorder. You
simply put the unit in the housing and turn it on Record before you hit the
water. (Hint: Use your remote control to turn the unit on record after it's been
sealed in your housing to save batteries and tape). After your dive you may edit
the tape down to VHS if you wish.

Universal Pause Control

The Universal Pause Control (USM) uses an electro-magnetic plunger to
depress the pause button located on the back of your camcorder. Our unique
bracket design allows it to be positioned to operate virtually any camcorder on
the market today. We use a proximity switch to send a signal THROUGH the
housing's shell without mechanical penetrations. NO PENETRATIONS = NO LEAKS!
The advantages of the USM are live editing and conservation of battery and
tape time. Tape time becomes especially critical when you are using a VHS-C
format camcorder.

AQV-1-L
Unit with LANC
Electronic Control
only!

Camcorder equipped with a LANC jack (Sony, Canon and various clones) may be
controlled with our LANC model. This unit controls your camcorder's Power
On/Off, Zoom and Pause/Record via switches located near the right handgrip. You
simply plug your camcorder in and hit the water. And of couse there are no
moving parts to leak, like all of the other AquaVault housings.
UPGRADE YOUR AQUA-VAULT
Remember, you can always have your BASIC unit upgraded to USM or LANC
operation, USM models may also be upgraded to LANC models, too! If you already
have an Aqua Vault, e-mail us and we'll give you all of the information you need
to upgrade.
If you do not yet have an Aqua Vault, this gives you the UNIQUE
opportunity to try out underwater video without spending a fortune up front. Buy
the basic unit and upgrade the controls, add a monitor and case when you need
them!

An Optional 2.9" LCD Monitor is available to allow you to see
everything you are taping with ease. The monitor plugs into the video output
jack (and audio, for playback) of your camcorder and sits safely inside the
AQV-1. You see your image through the AQV-1's clear rear port.
